If you are looking for an in-depth, technical analysis of the current state of alternative energy, this book is not for you. If you are looking for information on cutting-edge research in alternative energy, this books is not for you. However, if you wish to see where renewable energy has come from, and what direction it is heading, this book is perfect. Shere does a fantastic job of tracing each alternative energy concept (biofuel, solar, wind, geothermal, water) to its roots. His historical information is well-researched, and he writes excellent narrations showing how alternative energy got to where it is today. He also discusses the current state of alternative energy, but not in excruciating detail. Overall, I think that this book gives the reader a broad, working knowledge of the history and concepts of alternative energy. |

IntroductionWelcome to the Book Blog, where I'll post quick reviews on the books that I've finished reading. Some of the early reviews are a bit brief, but as I slowly started to have the idea for a book blog, I tried to make my comments more substantial. Archives
